Safe & convenient parking is available on the northbound side of Main Street (U.S. 27) in the front of the library building or in the parking lot to the back which is shared with the Cynthiana Police Department and which is accessible via Pleasant Street.

Mission Statement


The Cynthiana Harrison County Public Library provides opportunities for our residents and taxpayers to pursue lifelong learning, cultural and economic enrichment and enjoyment.  To accomplish this mission, we provide materials and services of popular interest to the community, emphasizing and encouraging reading, supplementing the educational needs of the community, and furnishing timely, accurate information.  Community needs drive our services and we take a personal interest in ensuring that they are delivered in a welcoming, convenient and responsive manner.

 

 

Funding


Because the library is a taxing district, the funding comes from taxes, with some money coming from state aid.
